uhhhhh…. really? this is a question? You really want us to choose between Jazz vocalist sensation Nancy Wilson and Bonnie. Really? GTFO! Really?
::storms out and casually leaves grenade behind::
Prince.
YO ass come out of left field with a version I didn’t even post lmao
but his is nice…but I love Nancy’s voice so much on this song…
Prince wasn’t even a fvcking option! You know what though? Yo’pretty azz can do that, especially since Folk a big Prince fan.
*makes mental note to include Prince when wanting to get away with some f--gery in the future*

NEway, I’m sorta with Bonnie’s version if I have to choose between the given options. Just for this one song – I’m not feeling the pain in Nancy’s version.
Not hating on Nancy in any way whatsoever. Just this one song.
I know Bonnie’s been through it all, and I give her props for being covering one of the best — but I hate that most people don’t know that she wasn’t the originator of this tune.
Even Bonnie Raitt would tell you it’s Nancy. That’s why she covered it.
Uhm… Hex… I have questions.
I was pretty sure that Bonnie’s is the orginial version… but since it’s you that said it was Nancy’s, I went and did some research.
According to all the sources I could find, neither Nancy nor Bonnie are the “originators”, it was originally written for Lisa Ronstadt, but Bonnie recorded and co-produced it first.
Now is there some back-story to this? Has it been stolen from Nancy and claimed by the songwriters?
I’m not trying to be a smartass here, I’m just genuinely curious about stories like that… enlighten me
Look at your man, now back at me. Now back to your man, now back to me. Look back up, where are you? You’re on a boat with the? man your man could smell like. Hey, whats in your hand? It’s an Oyster with two tickets to that thing you love, look again, the tickets are now DIAMONDS!
Anything is possible when you always assumed one song was just a remake of the other (since you always loved Nancy Wilson and and always felt like for all her history and goodwill among other players that Bonnie always seems to do songs written for or originally played by someone else) and and it’s possible that it’s maybe not the actual case.
I’m on a horse.
iCant with you today
Mercy please… *suffocates with laughter*
You’re too much Hex
I’m a HUGE fan of Bonnie Raitt….but Nancy Wilson….is…..NANCY. WILSON.
I love both versions to be honest, but Nancy’s is …..JUST…….IS!
That is all.
I have nothing for Nancy Wilson, she just doesn’t move me. I DO like the non-synth music its so much cleaner. My vote goes to Bonnie…
*blank stare*
I really should ban you for that…
I’ll leave…
But I’ll be back..I have mulitple IP’s
-thank GOD, I am not in the corner by myself…
Mind if I use you as a shield?
Boyz II Men’s version was pretty good also.
Boyz II Men made a good tune? Wow…..
I guess.
Both ladies are classics and both did great jobs with their versions.
I gotta say I think both versions are emitting a powerful odour of cheese-shop…..
I like Patti LaBelle’s version too…
Play them at the same time, they sound extremely terrible! but i do like nancy’s better
