Well peeps Saints Row is about to make its epic return to consoles in the new game Saints Row The Third which will be released tonight at Midnight. I got an early copy at have been playing a few missions and I must say the game is as awesome as advertised. It has everything in this game from Modern Warfare’s “Predator Missles” as well as “AC-130′s” to a pimp who speaks in Autotune. I have always loved the cast and voices in all the Saints Row games especially Keith David as Julius in the first 2. This game so far I’ve noticed is the character “Angel” who is voiced by Hulk Hogan. There is also a cameo by Burt Reynolds.

Now the thing that has brought Saints Row to prominence is the goofiness and the awesome storylines. This year they revamped the whole thing. Yea its still has silly missions you will have to do but they did away with the scrambling of the missions to take over territories. You used to be able to do a mission from one gang and then you can do a mission from another gang right after. This year’s game that I have noticed so far is far different. They put all the gangs into one big storyline you every mission you do will progress you into being the only gang left. You still will have to take over areas by doing the gang activities but now if you want to take over rival gangs hideouts or penthouses you will have to make a decision at the end of certain mission to determine the future outcome of the storyline and where you could live and what not.

Overall the game is awesome and I love it. Hopefully somebody gets it and we could do a co-op storyline or something.

It’s real out in those streets, folks, as professional criminals hijack and rob a shipment of 6,000 copies of this seasons instant sales hit: Modern Warfare 3.

Gaaaaat daaaaaamn!

French site TFI News reports that the truck suffered a collision with a car on saturday morning in Créteil, south Paris, before two masked individuals emerged.

The criminals reportedly used tear gas to neutralise the truck drivers before hopping in and making off with the video game shipment said to be worth 400,000 Euros.

Separate reports say the truck contained a delivery of Activision’s much-anticipated shooter, Modern Warfare 3 – an estimated 6000 copies of it.

This wouldn’t be the first theft Activision has suffered, after an employee reportedly stole a copy of the game from a shipping warehouse in California before pirating the disc and uploading it to the internet.

Activision has warned that playing Modern Warfare 3 before it’s official release is “not authorised” and that doing so may earn you a ban. [source]

More Achievements for Batman: Arkham City have swooped dramatically out of a dark corner, this time for DLC. Two achievements make reference to a “Nightwing Bundle Pack,” featuring a playable version of Nightwing (the original Robin, Dick Grayson, all grown up).

The (unofficial) reveal of Nightwing brings the playable cast to four, including Batman, Robin, and Catwoman, with Robin and Nightwing exclusive to downloadable content. During a particularly heated round of Call of Duty online, 46-year old Plymouth, England resident Mark Bradford snapped. After facing repeated taunts, name calling and defeat at the hands of a 13-year old, Bradford decided changing classes in the game or altering his tactics just wasn’t going to be enough. So without a word, Bradford silently rose, made his way to the house where the boy was playing, and proceeded to choke him.

The boy’s 33-year old mother was there, and managed to pull Bradford off, leaving the boy with a few scratches and a red neck, but otherwise unharmed. Bradford then silently left and returned home, where he was soon arrested.

“It’s pathetic that a grown man would attack a defenseless child like this,” she the boy’s mother said.

The attack came after the two had been playing Call of Duty: Black Ops. After killing him in the game, the boy then proceeded to call the 46-year old names which caused the man to “just lose it.” The two were acquainted through the boy’s parents, and Bradford knew that he was playing at a nearby friend’s house.

Bradford, who his lawyers say has suffered from mental health issues, pled guilty to one count of assault by beating.

“I’d been playing the whole day and he was baiting me and baiting me and just would not shut up,” Bradford told the courts, according to the UK newspaper The Daily Mail.

“He went on and on and I just lost it. I hold my hands up, I lost the plot. In a moment of madness I went round to his house. I didn’t know what I was going to do. It wasn’t malice. I just grabbed him. I’ve seen him since and apologized. We’ve played online too. He’s actually a decent kid.”

The boy, who legally cannot be identified, recounted the attack, “I was just sat playing. We’d had a bit of a joke and then he stormed in and grabbed me. I didn’t know what was going on.”

The courts will review Bradford’s mental health history before passing sentencing on October 24. [source]

nawl I’m just boolshytting.  But if you have not played an online competitive game  before, trust that you have NO idea of the types of things said over the headsets of gaming douchebags. And most of those douchebags are teens and kids. Kids who REALLy don’t have any business playing those type of games in the first place ( just my opinion).  It just really gets all out of hand.  If you are a woman, expect these kids to refer to you as everything BUT your name. Mostly colourful phrases about your genitalia or why you aren’t in the kitchen.

Just… awful. And even though i don’t endorse putting your hands on ANYone due to the things they say, there have been a few times where I’ve wanted to go wait at the bike racks of a muf*ggaz school and just kick them in the dick. Yeah I know… I aint right. Bunk yall. Most people get a little too free with the ability to anonymously hide behind their computers and gamertags. And though I know it’s wrong… I’m not going to lie.. uh oh Miami not again

Just got info on NBA 2K12. For anybody that is willing to shell out $60 tomorrow or this week period needs this info. Not everyone buys the annual title for updated rosters but it helps. This years version on NBA 2K will not feature updated rosters…..at least not yet.

According to Kotaku NBA 2K12 won’t feature a roster update until the NBA lockout ends (which might not happen). So all rookies that were drafted this year plus any other trades that took place since the last roster update from NBA 2K11 won’t be in the game.

Which means you will only be buying a few updates as far as gameplay and more rosters from other eras such as playoff teams from the 70′s 80′s and 90′s. I’m still going the get the game myself but I might wait until I see whats going on with the NBA lockout before I make that type of commitment. I like updated rosters.

And now we get to see how good it’s going to look on the xbox 360, as most of the excellent footage thus far has been of gameplay from the pc version on high settings I might add.

In but a little over a month, one of the biggest showdowns in gaming history is said to be on the horizon with the release of Battlefield 3 and shortly there after, Modern Warfare 3. And all the hype aside I’d have to say that such a presumptuous stance is not…without merit.

Understand this: There is no videogame in the history of video games, that has sold more than Call of Duty: Black Ops. None. And when you think about the amount of money that the game has brought in for its parent company; Activision, to put it into perspective? Call of DutyBlack Ops made more money than James Cameron’s AVatar.

That’s big.

Even the CEO of Electronic Arts has admitted that they have no plans on trying to beat Modern Warfare 3′s sales. They simple want to take a good chunk out of it’s market share.

There is lot of  heated debate going on between Modern warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 base fans at different gaming forums and also between gaming officials. Recently COO of EA said that its about taking share in market not about first or second place they wanna take down activision market hold to 70% from last year which was impressively 90%.

Peter Moore EA’s COO Said ” It’s less about being second place. This is about taking market share. This is really about a long-term strategy. If you look at last year, you might argue that Call of Dutytook maybe 90 percent of the market share. We think we can knock that down to 70 percent this year. We don’t have to outsell Call of Duty to have a very successful year”.[source]

But with all the weight coming up behind Modern Warfare 3 and the clear belief that this game will once again shatter records and dominate the game buying season this holiday, There are still many people who are more so looking to the release of Battlefield 3 instead.

Personally, I preferred Battlefield 2 to both Modern Warfare and Black-ops, purely because the game felt more cerebral. Battlefield 2 was a shooter where it felt as if you had to actually coordinate with your fellow players in order to be victorious. You had to make sure your Snipers were in proper position and covered adequately, and you needed to have a few players as Medics in order to help heal your hard hitting infantry guys as they ran into battle. Not to mention the Engineer class who kept the vehicles tuned up and repaired.

You had to work as a team. You had to think. Whereas in the ModernWarfare games it always felt like it was about nothing more than running and gunning, running and gunning. Meh.. I’m not a big fan of that. But I WILL say that as far as longevity and fun due to community, the Call of duty games win out easily due tot he fact that so many damn people play the game. This means never having to wait and hope to have enough people online in order to get a game going.  That goes a lonnnnng way.

But still….. if you had to choose only one shooter to get between the two, which would it be?

My choice: Battlefield 3.
